George Lyons, 6th Dan, Chief Instructor Bucks County Aikido, Doylestown, PA

Director and Chief Instructor of Bucks County Aikido, George Lyons Sensei began his study of Aikido in 1985 at San Diego Aikikai. In 1986 he joined the teachers training program and became an apprentice of Master T.K. Chiba (8th Dan, personal student of the founder of Aikido).

After six years with Chiba Sensei, he finished his apprenticeship in Tokyo, Japan, as a live-in student at Hombu Dojo, under the guidance of the late K. Ueshiba, son of the founder.

Lyons Sensei currently holds the rank of 6th-degree black belt and is a certified teacher by Birankai International. He has been teaching in Bucks County since 1992.
